At IWF 2022, the advances in technology and materials were so profound it will take weeks to cover them all. And no wonder. As the largest global woodworking technology and design show in North America with more than 900 exhibitors, IWF is the launch pad for the industry’s newest products and innovations. Here’s run-down of four more product introductions in our IWF Newsmakers series:
Compass Software (pictured above) has developed a comprehensive MES software for the organization, control, and management of all production, no matter the size and degree of automation. The MES system can be utilized for all types of production, including stair building, timber manufacturing, CLT production, cabinetry, or manufacturing processes in other industries. Learn more here.
Peak Toolworks, which marked 81 years in business at IWF 2022, had another reason to celebrate: its Endurance Diamond Finger Joint Tool was listed among Challengers Award contestants at the show.
Based on a polycrystalline diamond grade blade for tooling technology developed by Peak Toolworks in 2018, it was incorporated into the Endurance Diamond Finger Joint Tool in 2020, an innovation to the many decades of HSS finger joint knife usage.
IWF 2022 exhibitor Lockdowel is the first fastener solution to pass AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) Testing and Approvals. “We’re so excited and honored to be the first fastener system to qualify for this reputable distinction,” says Jason Howell, CEO of Lockdowel, Inc. “AWI really made the process easy.” Learn more here.
Caron Industries uses its expertise and craftsmanship to bring a new dimension to the farmhouse design trend. As pioneers in North America for commercializing “barn wood” models and the “reduced“ rail shakers, this year for IWF 2022 Caron introduced some unique new cabinet doors in the wildly popular farmhouse style, with unique textures and woods.
