Peak Toolworks (IWF Booth B4816) will show its Endurance Diamond Finger Joint Tool at IWF for the first time.
Based on a polycrystalline diamond grade blade for tooling technology developed by Peak Toolworks in 2018, it was incorporated into the Endurance Diamond Finger Joint Tool in 2020, an innovation to the many decades of HSS finger joint knife usage. Endurance is among the nominees in the IWF 2022 Challengers Award Competition.
The Peak Toolworks Endurance diamond finger joint cutter is strong enough to cut through all types of solid wood materials, including wood with knots or defects. It can be used for softwoods, hardwoods, structural and non-structural work. These diamond insert knives are designed with adjustable radial, lateral and angular run out (0.001″- 0.002″). They can be produced up to 19 inches in diameter with 16 wings, making them adaptable to any project.
The Endurance diamond finger joint cutter does not have to be sharpened between replacements. It provides quality production and the best consistency available in the industry, from the first use to the last. It has a 200-500x run rate, when compared to HSS. This PCD tool does not wear out when cutting solid wood.
There is a high savings in downtime and sharpening labor. This product saves the customer time from loss of productivity, reduces inventory cost, reduces rejected product and reduces maintenance labor. One customer reported saving 50 percent in tooling costs.
The tool is on display in Peak Toolworks Booth B4816 and included in the Challengers Award display. On Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. for live insight on this tool.
Peak Toolworks is celebrating 81 years in the carbide and diamond tooling industry, and has introduced Peak Toolworks TV. It has a vast portfolio that includes Peak, NAP, Gladu, General Saw, RKO, Riverside Tool, and tool sharpening services.
