Pinnacle Custom Signs has become the first company in the industry to get the new Vanguard VK3220T-HS printer.
When it set out to make a major investment in new printing, Lawrenceville, GA-based Pinnacle Custom Signs said it had two key issues: replace its aging existing equipment and bringing in a machine that would allow it to address its growing flatbed printing business.
“One of the distinctive advantages we have over our competitors is the speed of service,” said Don Conklin, Pinnacle’s owner. “We went out and looked at one or two other printers, but at the end of the day, Vanguard offered us a high-quality product that was new to the North American market and gave us the key features we needed. Speed, yes, but Vanguard fits with our core values and what our core competencies are: quality of service and speed of service.”
The company said being first with a new machine can sometimes be intimidating but that that the rewards are usually worth the risk. That’s when it decided to go with Vanguard’s new VK3220T-HS. The printer is a compact, user-friendly 126” x 80” ultra-high production UV-LED flatbed that offers speeds of up to 3,875 square feet an hour and up to 1,800 dpi print resolution. Pinnacle said that with options in printhead and color channel configurations, the new printer is engineered to grow with its business.
The Vanguard name was not new to Pinnacle: the first Vanguard printer ever sold was to Pinnacle back in 2016. “We’ve always had a great relationship with Vanguard, and they’ve always serviced us exceptionally well,” Conklin said. “There’s been no one better for us. We’ve been picking up a tremendous amount of volume on our flatbed printer and the speed of this printer is two to three times greater than that of our older printer.”
“We couldn’t be happier that the first VK3220T-HS went to Pinnacle,” said Jim Peterson, COO and founding partner of Vanguard. “This printer truly is revolutionary, and exemplifies eight years of advancement, specialization, innovations and hard work. Pinnacle has been a fantastic customer of ours, and we are grateful for their continued confidence and trust in our products. We look forward to many more years of servicing and supporting our longtime friends.”
