In a country that remains divided in many ways, it seems that people in all 50 states in the Union can agree on one thing: the number one room in their home they want to remodel.
It’s usually the first place homeowners turn to when they start a remodeling project and unlike so many things in this country, it’s a unanimous choice.
Bathrooms are the top choice for remodeling according to a new study from the Contractor Growth Network. Kitchens and basements are the second and third most popular rooms in the house that homeowners want to start remodeling. The study is based on an analysis of online search terms.
There are an average of 305,160 searches made nationally each month regarding bathroom renovations with the highest search results from Colorado, Texas, West Virginia, Michigan, and New Jersey.
Kitchens are most searched in Colorado, New Jersey, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Indiana with a national average of 187,651 monthly searches.
“Adding a renovation to your home can be a big decision, one that takes time and a lot of research,” according to the Contractor Growth Network. “These findings offer a fascinating insight into the states interested in taking these steps as well as which parts of the home are the biggest priority when it comes to making those big decisions.”
