The latest technology from Apple is its virtual reality device and the big home improvement retailer is one of the first to utilize it in its business.
It may cost more than $3,500 but that’s not likely to stop the early adopters from going out and being the first ones on their block to get the new Apple Vision Pro spatial computing device. And when they do they can head straight to Lowe’s and use it to design their new kitchens.
Earlier this month the big home improvement chain introduced its virtual reality app called Lowe’s Style Studio which allows customers to enter an immersive 3D kitchen scene via the goggle-like device, using their eyes and hands to create rooms. By selecting various kitchen cabinet and flooring materials, fixtures, and appliances from hundreds of choices and preset designs, users can visualize as many as 80 billion possible combinations, Lowe’s says.
After customers create a design, they can save it to style boards and send it to a contractor or interior designer for discussion. Eventually, customers will be able to sync their selections to their Lowe’s account for easier shopping.
“This is a transformational moment for kitchen design. Our customers can now visualize their dream kitchen in their own space, and that’s incredibly exciting,” said Seemantini Godbole, Lowe’s executive VP, chief digital and information officer. “Lowe’s Style Studio immerses our customers in a cutting-edge design experience enabled by spatial computing that will make home improvement easier than ever. I’m proud of our team for creating a powerful, immersive experience for Apple Vision Pro customers.”
This new Lowe’s resource is the latest feature that builders need to know as they work with clients in designing and building kitchens.
