With a new facility now under construction in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Hood Distribution will add to its network of facilities servicing the wood products industry.
Hood Distribution has begun work on its new state-of-the-art facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, scheduled to open by the end of the year.
“The new branch will include a full planer, molder, gang rip, and straight-line saw, as well as a laminate press,” said Jarred Graves, marketing coordinator, in announcing the news. “We eagerly anticipate continued partnerships within this new market and the opportunities that come with expansion.
“Hood Distribution is committed to continuing our value proposition of being on time, on grade, and competitively priced. We look forward to seeing you in Texas!”
The company, which can trace its roots back to the 19th century when predecessor companies opened in New England and the Southeast, now has 15 facilities, located primarily in the Eastern portion of the country plus Arizona. This will be its first facility in Texas.
The company supports millwork, cabinet, industrial users, and retail lumber yards in their needs for hardwood lumber and hardwood plywood as well as specialty panels and composite products.
