Manassas, VA – Greg Kasten has been appointed Vice President East Region for USA Millwork, with responsibility for overseeing the business of one of the largest national architectural millwork firms.
Kasten will oversee the business operations for the region, including manufacturing facilities near Washington, DC and in Atlanta. USA Millwork is the among the largest private millwork manufacturers in the country, approaching $200 million in revenue and continuing to grow, says Kasten.
In February 2020, Kasten was named to head operations for USA Millwork’s mid-Atlantic region, as the general manager of Manassas, VA-based IBS Millwork, now renamed (see below).
Greg Kasten was with Mortenson Woodwork in Atlanta for over 30 years, working in virtually every aspect of the business, serving as president for his last 20 years there.
“When I learned about USA Millwork’s growth plans for the industry, I felt like it was an opportunity to leverage my experience on a broader platform,” Kasten said last year. “USA Millwork has national capacity and tremendous resources to serve contractors and owners across the country. It is something unique in millwork. We are building a best-in-class company with a national footprint.”
Kasten graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S in Wood Technology, and a minor in Industrial Engineering. He has spent his entire career in the woodwork industry, with such notable projects as Exxon Headquarters, George W. Bush Presidential Library, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, St. Regis Hotel, MGM National Harbor, and Hard Rock Casinos as well as multiple law firms, corporate headquarters and judicial projects.
Headquartered in Denver, USA Millwork rebranded its five acquired operating companies in November 2020, which now include USA Millwork Denver (formerly Freelance Millwork), USA Millwork Great Lakes (formerly O’Keefe Millwork), USA Millwork Atlanta (formerly Cabinets By Design), USA Millwork DC (formerly IBS Millwork), and USA Millwork Mission Bell (formerly Mission Bell Manufacturing).
Each of the operating companies is a premier Architectural Woodworking Institute (AWI)-certified suppliers that provide products and services for large-scale, custom millwork projects. USA Millwork companies provide project-to-completion services in a variety of industries including hospitality, entertainment, healthcare, corporate space, retail, and multi-family. The companies offer products — including Division 12 casework — and services that it says exceed industry standards. www.usamillwork.com
