News Release
Atlanta, GA – General booth space sales will open May 4 for the 2022 International Woodworking Fair. IWF will take place Tuesday, August 23 – Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Show managers set the date for general booth sales after concluding the Priority Renewal sales process last week. Priority Renewal rewards IWF exhibitors who have earned seniority and priority points from participating in previous shows with access to choice locations for IWF 2022.
Many Priority Renewal exhibitors took the opportunity to expand their 2022 space – it’s the first IWF since 2018, and they have lots to show. But new exhibitors needn’t worry. IWF has reconfigured its footprint in the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta providing an expanded venue for what is expected to be the largest IWF in history.
The IWF sales team says buzz is building among industry suppliers, who are increasingly bullish about the recovering economy. Woodworking businesses are busy, but operations are not without challenges, particularly the high cost of raw materials and difficulty in finding workers. These are precisely the kinds of concerns that will find solutions both on the show floor, and in the robust Education Program.
“Our exhibitors are excited at the prospects of all that an in-person IWF 2022 can deliver,” says J.P. Roberts, director of sales for IWF. “Optimism and expectations are running high – as evidenced by not only by renewal volume and pace but also by the percentage of exhibitors committing to larger spaces,” Roberts says.

“Priority exhibit space assignment response has been extremely encouraging,” says Meg Taylor, senior sales manager for IWF. “We are seeing many of the mid-sized companies taking more space than they have in past shows. Some are accommodating a backlog of new product developments, while others aim to raise their profile at the show.”
