Grand Rapids, MI—The Association of Closet and Storage Professionals (ACSP) named Amanda Conger executive director.
Conger, who was appointed executive director of the Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) in 2016, continues in that role, bringing deep industry experience and connections to her new role with the closets and home organization group. Both CMA and ACSP are frequent partners in IWF Education Programs and the biannual International Woodworking Fair.
Prior to CMA, Conger was marketing director at Premier Eurocase, a Denver manufacturer of premium finished panel and cabinet components. Before that she spent 10 years at Stiles Machinery Inc. as marketing supervisor Before becoming executive director for CMA, she was director of sales and marketing for the association.
“Her experience with CMA has given her the skills and knowledge to help us move forward into this time of growth,” says Eric Marshall, ACSP president. “Communication with our membership and executive board is evolving and will become a more seamless experience for new and current members.” Conger will continue working closely with CMA’s Educational Committee along with all its committees.
“The CMA board of directors is excited and proud to support Amanda in her new role as executive director with ASCP,” says Ken Kumph, CMA president. “The CMA will continue to benefit from Amanda’s direction and guidance as its executive director and look at this as an opportunity to collaborate with ASCP and strengthen and contribute to both of our associations.”
Founded in 2005, the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals is a trade organization of custom closet and storage companies and individuals that design, sell, manufacture, and/or install home closet and storage systems. The organization was established in August 2005 to create a unified voice for the custom storage industry, build a professional image for its members, and provide a valuable, credible source of information for the storage consumer.
