One of the world’s best environmental certifications has now been given to the Master Oak line from Unilin Panels.
Unilin Panel’s line of Master Oak raw and melamine-faced fiberboard and chipboard panels now come with a Bronze Version 4.0 Cradle to Cradle Certified Material Health Certificate, recognized as “one of the world’s best environmental standards and used by global brands to innovate and optimize materials and become a more sustainable business.”
The company, based in Oostrozebeke, Belgium, says this puts the line “among a select group of products that have independently proven their environmental credentials.”
Master Oak, it said, “can offer customers a budget-friendly alternative to real wood and veneer that can withstand the test of time. Master Oak decorative paneling captures the natural look and diverse feel of real oak. It boasts superior qualities, including being three times more scratch-resistant than real oak, colorfast, and easy to maintain.”
Unilin says the panels “even fooled interior professionals with its super mat and deep structure!”
The company said Cradle to Cradle Certified “measures every aspect of a company’s impact. It’s one of the world’s most stringent environmental certifications and is entirely independent. We’re committed to being a sustainable business and to playing an active role in a circular economy. We’re already on our journey and adopting C2C and its methodologies helps (users) be confident that we mean what we say.”
