SCM Plans Sliding Saw Giveaway Competition at IWF 2022

Atlanta, GA—This year marks the 70th anniversary of wood industry technology supplier SCM Group (IWF Booths B6953-6973). To celebrate, the company is staging a woodworking competition with a grand prize of an SCM Nova si 400 sliding table saw.

Entries were due by August 15, and the judging will take place at IWF 2022. The winning entry will be announced at 11 a.m. Friday, August 26, the final day of the show, based on ballots cast by attendees. No project is too big or too small. Submit a woodworking project you’re most proud of and tell why you should win.

The competition does double duty, as each entry will trigger a gift by SCM to the veterans organizations Semper Fi & America’s Fund, “to show our appreciation to those who matter most — our customers and the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. For every entry, we will gift Semper Fi & America’s Fund a $100 donation.”

Competition Rules/Eligibility:
-All entries must be made from 75 percent wood.
-Group entries are allowed.
-All projects must be a finished product.
-Entries can be made on any machine manufacturer.
-Submissions can be past or present-day projects.

Deadline:
Submit your entry by Friday, August 15, 2022. The top 10 will move to the finals at IWF 2022. Cast your vote for the winner at IWF 2022 in SCM’s Booth.

Timeline:
-Entries submitted by August 15.
-Top 10 finalists to be announced on August 19.
-Winner will be announced Friday, August 26 at 11 a.m. in SCM’s Booth.
