Daveluyville, QC—Doucet Machineries is pleased to announce the nomination of Pascal Doucet as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association (WMIA), for a term of two years which began on May 5th at spring 2021 meeting in Memphis, TN.
Pascal Doucet, Vice President of Sales at Doucet Machineries, is first Canadian to be named Chairman of the association’s Board of Directors. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for seven years, including four years on the Executive Committee.
“It is with pride that I undertake this mandate. Today, we are moving into a more positive future,” says Doucet. “Fortunately, contrary to most, our industry has been going through the pandemic with success. The challenges are great, however, and how pivotal this moment is for the association, as expanded staff support, extensive association management experience, and coupled with the Board’s industry expertise are the perfect recipe for the organization to accelerate its growth and increase its impact. In this context, I aspire to make a difference and bring my entrepreneurial values. And, certainly to benefit the Canadian industry. “
