Intelligent MDF Profile Wrapper Presented at IWF 2022

In 2022, Duespohl – coexhibitor of Adwood – celebrates its 20th anniversary. The German profile wrapping and laminating lines manufacturer presents automated solutions at IWF that increase their users’ productivity significantly.

At IWF 2022, Duespohl Booth B6937 will present a new configuration of the profile wrapper MultiWrap Wood, integrating many intelligent solutions that enable it to foil MDF or other wood (composite) profiles at up to 60 m/min.

The showcased line will be equipped with UniMelt, a premelter for EVA and PUR hot melt glues that does not require sealings nor valves which makes it very easy to maintain and minimises downtimes. The dosing system ensures constant glue supply, independently from speed variations.

The patented SlotCoater applies the adhesive absolutely homogeneously and requires a very low maintenance workload. The double unwinding system is an easy solution to increase output by minimising downtimes due to reel change. It allows for décor change without machine stops. Additionally, it features systems to keep web tension constant automatically and to maintain the web’s position to make sure the area to be wrapped will be covered perfectly.

The whole entry zone of the line has been equipped with optimised lateral guides that can be adjusted within 2 minutes. The wrapping zone itself features the new, improved quick change system that works with sets of mounted pressure rollers. Users can prepare sets for recurring profile geometries – an easy way to speed up set-up times.

At the end of the line, the cutting system SynCut separates and divides profiles at up to 60 m/min. It recognizes the cutting point automatically and can be added as a retrofit component.
