Arauco North America showcased its full array of ARAUCO Prism® TFL, ARAUCO moulding, AraucoPly® plywood, and its particleboard, MDF and HDF composite panels at IWF 2022.

Highlights of the exhibit included operational expansion of value-add products in laminates and moulding,
positive climate strategy advances in vertically integrated manufacturing, and carbon neutral certification at a global level. ARAUCO will début its 2022-23 collection of Prism TFL, including eight new exclusive designs that will update the Prism portfolio of more than 80 woodgrains and uni-colors. The company is also commemorating 25 years of AraucoPly® plywood North America.

Sustainability Meets Performance at ARAUCO
Composite panels from ARAUCO are stronger, lighter, and smoother than ever. We serve the furniture,
fixture and casework industries with responsibly sourced and manufactured panels that provide high-performance options in a climate-conscious world. ARAUCO continues to invest in clean manufacturing and value-add products and is the first forestry company to achieve carbon neutrality at a global level, having earned this third-party certification in 2020.

Our substrates are made from wood fiber that is sourced as recycled, recovered, and/or FSC® certified (FSCC019364) assuring wood used in manufacturing is derived from ethical sources. Our composite panel substrates carry multiple certifications including CPA ECC 4-19, EPA TSCA Title VI/CARB-2 and comply with relevant green building standards such as Green Globes, IgCC, and the CALGreen Code. Using our substrates and TFL in projects may also contribute to point eligibility under LEED®.

ARAUCO Adds Third Lamination Line at Grayling
ARAUCO recently announced that it will open a third TFL line at its Grayling, Mich., plant in late 2023. The
new line will increase the mill’s lamination capacity more than 50%, strategically increasing its Prism TFL
offering to further support its North American partners.

More recent expansion includes a new MDF moulding mill at Moncure, N.C., co-located with the Arauco’s
Moncure MDF plant; and investment in recommissioning its TFL operations at Moncure.

“These expansions of TFL and moulding further highlight our commitment to continue investing in North
America to better serve the needs of our customers through value-add products,” said Pablo Franzini,
President of ARAUCO North America.

“At Arauco, we are very excited about the future of our wood business in North America,” said Russ Jordan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Arauco North America. “We are inspired to seek growth
opportunities with our partners while continuing to focus on improvements in our operations and service
platforms.”

ARAUCO Prism® TFL Début Leads Modern Revival
The 2022-23 Prism TFL collection launches at IWF with 67 exclusives and eight new décors that
honor the beauty and simplicity of the organic world through responsible design. The design
début includes four new woodgrains and four uni-colors that champion design-forward trends
in individual expression, and renewed focus on classicism and modern humanism.

Curated with design and function in mind, Prism TFL is a climate-positive collection that is beautiful, durable and easy to maintain. This integrated finishing solution is laminated on ARAUCO’s own particleboard and MDF substrates, assuring quality, consistency, balanced inventories and dependable supply.

ARAUCO is also introducing an updated brand voice and visual identity for Prism TFL. Through the concept of “Design with Intention,” Arauco will examine how Prism TFL helps designers balance project objectives for aesthetics, performance, marketability and environmental responsibility.

Fibrex® HDF Offers Versatility and Value Add
ARAUCO is featuring Fibrex HDF at its booth. Fibrex is high-quality thin MDF panel that goes beyond
industrial applications. Upgrades include solid color paint and direct print woodgrains, beadboard, pegboard, chalkboard and markerboard. These value-adds along with cut-to-size capabilities provide virtually unlimited options for drawer bottoms, doors, gaming, decorative wall coverings and fixtures.
AraucoPly® Plywood Celebrates 25 Years in North AmericaAraucoPly® plywood first came to the North American shores in 1997. Since then, it has established itself as a premium, appearance-grade plywood used for furniture manufacturing and casework, decorative wall covering, subfloor, exterior siding and other applications. AraucoPly panels are made from pruned, sustainably grown Radiata pine logs for fewer knots and clean, uniform, light-colored faces that finish beautifully and consistently. The exceptional quality, superior appearance, flatness, durability and dimensional stability of AraucoPly panels are ensured through rigorous standards of sustainable forest management, log selection, and process control.
