Houzz Focusing on Pro Sector with New Software Platform

The design and construction planning site has launched Contracts within its Houzz Pro section, geared towards contractors.

The Houzz Pro Contracts tool allows professionals to create, send and finalize contracts for clients and subcontractors directly from the site, rather than using third-party applications.  

“Contracts are the foundation of every project, yet managing them has traditionally been a complex process,” said Alon Cohen, Houzz co-founder and CEO. “With the new Houzz Pro Contracts tool, building, remodeling and design professionals can finalize agreements quickly, stay organized and deliver an end-to-end client experience that inspires confidence and builds lasting trust.”

The company pointed to the faster turnarounds it is seeing when builders use Houzz Pro, noting contracts are signed on average in just over two days vs. the one week using other methods.

Features of the new tool include: Smart Text, which helps fill in details on jobs; built-in e-signaturing; contract templates; customizable branding; cloud access; edit tracking and notifications; and reminders with real-time updates when contracts are opened, viewed or signed, plus automated follow-ups to keep projects on track.

The Houzz Pro Contracts tool is available to all “Custom” package subscribers in the U.S. and is fully integrated into Houzz Pro, the company said.
