Chandler, AZ—SOLLiD Cabinetry, the fast-growing manufacturer of SOLLiD face-frame and transitional lines and Envii frameless lines, has relocated to a vastly expanded 251,000-sq.-ft. facility in Chandler, AZ.
LGE Design Group served as the architect and interior designer for the project. The vast manufacturing center is the equivalent of six acres under one roof that houses manufacturing equipment imported from around the world. That includes equipment from Italy such as finishing systems from Cefla and CNC systems from Biesse.
A comprehensive dust control system from Hocker America with duct work by Nordfab includes the mechanical systems occupying roughly 4,600 square feet enclosed in its own yard with two-story structural steel and a perforated metal skin to screen the system from view. Nordfab is among the sponsors of the 2021 IWF Woodworking Manufacturing Month.
The facility also features 50,000 square feet of Class A office space. Though they are a kitchen cabinet manufacturer, all cabinetry in the facility was provided by SOLLiD, to further exhibit their capabilities and product lines. The idea is to extend the showroom throughout the office areas. This includes an expansive two-story lobby with lush finishes, including a solid walnut reception desk and fluted marble backwall.
The new SOLLiD Cabinetry facility offers state-of-the-art amenities for clients and employees with a large break room, lounge tables, ping pong table and billiards. Collapsible doors extend the ground floor break room to the exterior patio which includes a built-in barbeque, cornhole gaming area and picnic tables.
SOLLiD Cabinetry started out in 2008 as a three man company working in a garage. By 2015, it was operating in an 85,000-sq.-ft. plant in Tempe, AZ, and had introduced its Envii frameless cabinet line. In 2018 SOLLiD announced a move to a 115,000-sq.ft. plant with an automated Cefla finishing line. “We were able to move from two smaller facilities into one larger one,” explains Adam Soldner, COO. “We can now have all of our production and inventory in one facility.” The growth continued, culminating in SOLLiD’s latest move to 251,000 square feet.
