Snaidero Cabinetry Wins Top Architecture Award

New York, NY—The Snaidero USA New York Flagship showroom redesign by Italian architect Mario Mazzer has won the 2021 International Architecture Award.

Bestowed by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, the award is the oldest and widely regarded as the most prestigious international building award. Snaidero was ono a shortlist of 450 projects. An international jury of several distinguished architects, designers, critics, and educators selected the winners.

Snaidero USA has steadily secured significant contracts at multi-unit luxury apartment projects. In the spring it completed a large high-rise cabinetry project in Chicago for the luxury Residences at St. Regis. The prestigious project at the tenth tallest building in the U.S. included 371 kitchens, 854 baths, 203 powder rooms, and 47 laundry rooms.

Snaidero says he hired Mazzer with the vision of turning the nearly 5,000-sq.-ft. showroom into the ultimate one-stop shop for the most essential designs for luxury homes, displaying products from the company’s expanded collection for the first time. Snaidero has now moved beyond kitchens to bathroom vanities, closet systems, storage systems, and interior doors.

The showroom concept, which the architect likened to “writing a story,” expresses the company’s mission to offer the best Made-in-Italy designs delivering both easy functionality and stunning ambiance. In the redesign, every detail contributes to the emotional energy of the environment while materials and textures create a unifying thread.

Snaidero also won the NKBA Innovative Showroom Award earlier this year. Snaidero USA operates 20 showrooms, and is the exclusive distributor of Snaidero’s kitchen cabinetry, designed by world-renown architects and designers and winners of 33 international awards. Snaidero USA’s internally designed Elegante Bespoke collection features ultra-luxury kitchen cabinetry and Riquadro sideboard systems exclusive to the Americas. Its Living collection includes high-end bath vanities, closet systems, and internal doors. Snaidero USA also serves the luxury multi-housing industry, having partnered with top developers since 1996 and supplied products for over 210 projects to date.
