The big home improvement chain has reworked its MyLowe’s Pro Rewards program to make it easier for professionals.
The Lowe’s loyalty program has put into place a number of initiatives designed to allow small and mid-sized pro contractors to earn and redeem rewards as it increases its focus on this sector of the home improvement business. It also renamed the program to MyLowe’s Pro Rewards from its former name, MVP Pro Rewards & Partnership Program.
Members can earn points for every dollar spent at the store. These can be redeemed for experiences, products or MyLowe’s Money, which offers credit toward eligible purchases. In addition, members can access exclusive deals and business solutions aimed at professional customers. The new program has three tiers, with higher tiers offering more points per level and special coupons for snacks and drinks. New members start at Gold Pro status and can reach Platinum Pro and Titanium Pro as they spend more money.
“We talk about saving our pros time and money in all that we do and this program is the perfect example of our commitment to do just that,” Quonta Vance, executive vice president of pro and home services at Lowe’s, said in announcing the new program.
The rollout follows similar efforts by Lowe’s key competitor Home Depot to target pro builders, such as the creation of an experience manager position. Lowe’s has also stepped up programs for its DIY customers, such as its Digital Home Platform which recently debuted.
