Floor & Decor Partners with Habitat for Humanity

The nationwide flooring chain is connecting with the organization to support its home-building efforts around the country.

The new partnership has already resulted in the retailer donating more than $300,000 in flooring, tile and installation materials to over 60 local Habitat affiliates just this year so far, supporting more than 80 communities across the United States. The company said it plans to continue expanding its donations throughout the year, further strengthening its collaboration with Habitat’s network of local affiliates.

Habitat was founded in 1976 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to building affordable housing for those who might not be able to do it themselves. Its most famous volunteers were former president Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn, who began working with it in 1984 and continued right up until they died over the past two years. Floor & Decor was founded 25 years ago and proudly states it embraces “the philosophy that there is no finish line. This commitment to continuous improvement extends to its philanthropic efforts, aimed at improving lives by improving the spaces where people live.”
