IWF Exhibit Space Discount / Payment / Cancellation Policies

 

Association Discounts

Members of good standing in the following associations may receive a maximum discount of 20% on exhibit space. Each association sets its own criteria and discount policy.

American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA)
Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America (WMMA)
Woodworking Machinery Industry Association(WMIA)

In order for an Exhibitor to be eligible for any discount as a result of the Exhibitor's membership in any of the associations listed above, the Exhibitor must be a member in continuous good standing from the date of execution of the Contract for Exhibition Space through the dates of the International Woodworking Fair. If an Exhibitor ceases to be a member in continuous good standing in any IWF Sponsoring association, Exhibitor shall be required to pay to IWF the amount of any discounts awarded to Exhibitor as a result of such membership.

Exhibit Space Size Discounts

A maximum discount of 15% will be extended to exhibitors occupying 3,000 net square feet of space or more. Association and exhibit space discounts are not cumulative.

Payment Policy

In order for discounts to apply, payment must be postmarked by a government postal agency or overnight delivery service (not a company postage meter) by the due date. Any exhibit space with past due balances, beyond 45 days of the specified due date will be subject to a 1.5% monthly late payment charge and cancellation.

Following are the invoice postmark due dates:

 1st invoice    April 24, 2009   10% of net exhibit space cost and $150.00 contract processing fee 
 2nd invoice    October 16, 2009    15% of net exhibit space cost
 3rd invoice    January 15, 2010    25% of net exhibit space cost
4th invoice March 15, 2010 25% of net exhibit space cost
 5th invoice    May 14, 2010    25% of net exhibit space cost

 

Cancellation / Space Reduction Policy

In the event of cancellation by an Exhibitor, the amount due to IWF under the Contract for Exhibition Space shall be as follows:

Time of Cancellation % of Total Space Cost Due
Prior to October 16, 2009 10%
Between October 16, 2009 and January 15, 2010 25%
Between January 15, and March 15, 2010 50%
Between March 15, and May 14, 2010 75%
After May 14, 2010 100%

After January 15, 2010, if Exhibitors want to reduce the size of their space, the following liquidated damages will apply:

Size of Exhibit Space Reduction % of Liquidated Damages Due
Reduction of 80 sq. ft. to 1,000 sq. ft. 75% due on the amount of space reduced
Reduction of 1,001 sq. ft. to 3,000 sq. ft. 85% due on the amount of space reduced
Reduction of more than 3,000 sq. ft. 100% due on the amount of space reduced

Cancellation or reduction in space will be accepted by IWF Show Management only upon receipt of written notification of cancellation or reduction by the Exhibitor. It is agreed that IWF reserves the right to reassign canceled exhibit space, and the subsequent reassignmnet of canceled exhibit space does not relieve the canceling Exhibitor of his obligation to pay the amount due. Reduction in contracted space will result in forfeiture of seniority point for that year's participation in IWF.

Lotteries And / Or Contests

If the Exhibitor conducts a contest in which prize(s) will be given away, Exhibitor acknowledges that they will comply with all applicable state and federal laws, and Exhibition Rule 10 printed on the back of their Space Contract.
