 Co-produced by Modern Woodworking

Lean manufacturing is a journey, not a destination. The decision for small shop owners to incorporate lean manufacturing isn’t one to make lightly – the process involves a great deal of forethought and planning on the front end, strict management during the implementation, as well as continuous supervision going forward.

In this informative session, lean manufacturing experts will debunk misconceptions of lean manufacturing (what it is and what it isn’t), address the core principles of lean manufacturing and provide a road map for lean success into the future. Small shop owners who employ lean manufacturing  principles will provide first-hand accounts of how they were able to incorporate the philosophy into their production, and what hurdles they had to overcome in the process.

Attendees will learn what lean manufacturing is and isn't, and how to drive out waste in their operations by incorporating this philosophy.

Who Should Attend?  Owners and production managers of small to medium sized shops interested in learning the principles of lean manufacturing and how to implement them in their facilities.
